Services We Offer

​Hold Policies:
If you need a little more time before you finally decide on the perfect gown, you will want to take advantage of our unique service.

You may put the gown on a free, 24-hour hold. The gown is taken out of inventory so other brides do not see it. If you do not contact us within 24 hours, the gown will go back into inventory.

You may choose a 7-day hold for 5% of the retail price of the gown. The gown is unavailable to other brides. The 5% is used towards the cost of the gown or a store credit. If you do not contact us within 7 days, the gown will go back into inventory and you will have a store credit in the amount of the hold.

Layaway Policy:
Layaway plans are offered at no additional charge if you wish to space payments. All items remain in the shop during the layaway term.

 

Alterations & Customizations:
On-site alterations by two experienced seamstresses are available for an additional fee. Because our gowns are physically in the shop, we can easily customize to a bride's wishes.  For example, adding sleeves or straps for more coverage on a strapless gown, removing excess under-skirt tulling to slim the skirt, or creating a "fit and flare" shape from an a-line skirt.

 

Cleaning and Preserving Service:
We offer an affordable cleaning and preserving service.  Your gown is carefully cleaned, double boxed in an acid-free environment and sealed from destructive insects.  Full service is $250.00.

 

Consigning Items:

Hours for consigning items: 

Monday:  11:00 - 3 pm

Tuesday - Friday: 10:00 - 3:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 - 12:00  noon only

 

Bridal gowns and formalwear must be no older than four years.  Items must be formal, dressy or "wedding related". We are no longer accepting bridesmaids dresses. The exception is if they could be used easily for another occasion. If in doubt, please call ahead. Prom gowns are only accepted from January 1 - March 31.

 

If a prospective item has not been cleaned after wearing, please wait before cleanng in case we do not consign it - you then will not have an unnecessary expense.  If an item is accepted and needs cleaning, we will advise you with options locally with competent dry cleaners.  If you have any questions, please call us at (860) 633-3639 before you come.
